Simply put, Youth Ministry is the Church's efforts to help each & every young person grow personally & spiritually. Our church is seeking for the same purpose in ministry with the youth as we do with the adults. We are seeking to fulfill Christ's great commission of Matthew 28:19-20 to make disciples. The reason behind youth ministry is the need for everyone in the church, including the youth, to have someone to care for and support their spiritual development. Youth ministry is one of the many important ministries in our church. Youth ministry is more than programs and events. We are concerned about reaching the next generation with the gospel and we want to see it grow in their lives so that they become mature disciples.
Integration of a child into our youth group will help them see the church as a whole, with the youth as a vital part of the church. Children that progress through our ministry are vastly more likely to function maturely and effectively in the church as they move into adulthood.
Youth Ministry seeks to help youth share their gifts, grow in life skills, develop a positive self-image, overcome prejudices, develop respect for differences, serve those in need, and foster social change, develop a personal spirituality and prayer life, apply the word and their faith to daily life, integrate Christian values, participate in the Church, and develop a personal relationship with Jesus.
